Great leadership starts when the leader knows who he or she is not. This is a liberating truth allowing myself as a leader to focus my limitted time on the right things. The less I try to do outside of my giftings and strengths the more  I actually do. I.E. i'm a Pastor therefore I know how to count money, I do it well actually. My giftings though are not in the area of accounting and book keeping. So despite how well I can count the money once a week that does not make me an accountant. So then what do I do? I hire an accountant, someone who is called and gifted at accounting. Doing so liberates me to focus on Sermon prep, leader development, and reaching the world for the cause of Christ. The areas i'm called and gifted in. Simple truth I know, but liberating! By the way I don't count the money. Lead well.
