Greener Grass
The grass being greener on the other side is usually a false perception birthed in a season frustration and burnout. Admittedly the thought of greener pastures does produce a small seed of hope in times of extreme weariness. I t becomes a temporary escape route for a tired mind. If we could just pack our bags and take a trip to the other side we will arrive only to find a land of………New possibilities, new faces, new friends, more money, less drama, smiley faces, a new sense of expectation, new joy, less headaches, less heart burn, more time to relax, less stress and the list could go on and on. Shortly after your arrival to the other side you quickly realize that the old cliché is true after all, “The grass isn’t always greener on the other side”. I’m starting to think that the condition of the grass is irrelevant; it’s not even the point. Maybe the real point is the other side, a good old fashion change of scenery. If you are a member of the Life Church reading this please don’t read anything into this. It’s just a random ponder.
